Well of life

Isaiah 43:20 “…I provide water in the desert and streams in the waste land, to give drink to my people, my chosen”

There are many villages in India that suffer for lack of fresh water. In some places people have to walk at least a mile or two to get drinking water. In some other places they drink water from canals, open wells and tanks directly which contain contaminated water which is very injurious to health.

To overcome this situation, Gospel Mission of India has undertaken “Well of Life project” to provide fresh drinking water by drilling bore wells with a hand pump.

These bore wells stand as a witness to the love of Christ to all people irrespective of caste, creed and religion. They are accessible to each and everyone in the community. Gospel Mission of India has drilled more than 150 bore wells thus far in Andhra Pradesh.

The problem is too big for any one agency, government or organization to solve this great need as water is a basic necessity for all the living beings. One well at a time, one village at a time can make a big difference that gives a lot of comfort and relief for the poorest of the poor. By helping this project we can make a big difference. It costs 1200 dollars per bore well per village.
